Pupil Analysis
Overview
We built a browser-based Pupil Detection and Measurement System that uses computer vision to measure pupil diameter and identify early indicators of neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease and dizziness. The application runs on smartphones with 4K front-facing cameras, requiring no specialized hardware. After a short video recording, the system processes pupil data and delivers results in structured CSV format for review or sharing with healthcare professionals. The platform won the pitch contest at Mayo Week in Rochester, earning recognition from the Mayo Clinic team. It operates on iOS and Android devices via a web browser and is designed to be accessible, guided, and accurate, without relying on infrared cameras.
